This year, the Beowulf Experience includes blacksmithing!

Your instructor will be Kevin Thompson, the founder of Electric City Forge and resident blacksmith at Hagood Mill.

​

Kevin has a long background in the reenactment scene and experience in traditional crafts including blacksmithing, leather tanning, leather working, and wood working. He works patiently with kids through adults and has guided many Upstate blacksmiths through their training.

In the Beowulf Experience, Kevin will teach you to forge and put together a traditional fire-starting kit.
